IELTS Writing Test Duration and Format

IELTS Writing Test

IELTS Writing Task 1
IELTS Writing Task 2

IELTS Writing Task 1

10 Myths About IELTS Exam

IELTS Writing Test Marking and Assessment

IELTS মার্কিংগুলো মূলত করে British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia or IELTS USA থেকে স্বীকৃত ট্রেইনারগণ।

IELTS Writing Mark Distribution

  1. Task Achievement (TA):
  2. Coherence and Cohesion (CC):
  3. Lexical Resource (LR):
  4. Grammatical Range and Accuracy (GRA):

IELTS Writing Task 1 -

IELTS Writing Task 1 -

IELTS Writing Task 1 -এ কাজ যা-ই হোক না কেন সব ক্ষেত্রেই প্রশ্নে “Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant”-এরকম কিছুই দেখবেন।

IELTS Writing Task 1 -

IELTS Writing Task 2 -

IELTS Writing Task 2 -

IELTS Writing Task 2 -

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Why is this so? Give reasons for this and solutions?
Do the disadvantages of international tourism outweigh the advantages?
Why is this so? What effect does it have on the individual and society?

IELTS Writing Task 2 -

Relative Clause Using the pronoun incorrectly – who/that/which
Conditional clause Choosing the wrong tense for the clause type – Zero, Type 1,2,3
Present perfect/past Choosing the wrong tense – had/have had
Passive Choosing the wrong past participle
    Gerunds Making errors with -ing
Countable nouns Making errors with singular and plural nouns
Articles Using a/the incorrectly, or not using it at all
Subject/verb agreement The girls ‘are’ – singular or plural
Prepositions Choosing the wrong dependent preposition, an incorrect preposition of place and so on.
Punctuation Used incorrectly, or not used at all.

The use of technology has increased significantly in recent years and has changed the way we interact with each other. Some people believe that this has had a positive impact on society, while others believe that the negative effects outweigh the positive. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

    Essay for Band 7

The integration of technology in our daily lives has grown rapidly in recent years, and its impact on society has become a topic of intense debate. Some individuals argue that technology has had a positive impact on society, while others believe that its negative effects outweigh the positive.

On the one hand, proponents of technology claim that it has revolutionized the way we interact with each other. For instance, the rise of social media platforms has made it easier for people to connect with friends and family from all over the world. Moreover, technology has improved the efficiency of many industries, such as healthcare, education, and transportation. This has resulted in a more efficient and convenient society for many people.

On the other hand, opponents of technology argue that its negative effects far outweigh the positive. For instance, many people now spend excessive amounts of time on their devices, leading to a lack of face-to-face communication and social skills. Additionally, the overreliance on technology has resulted in many people becoming addicted to their devices, causing harm to their mental and physical health. Furthermore, technology has led to the loss of many jobs as automation has replaced human labor in many industries.

In my opinion, while technology has brought many positive changes to society, its negative effects cannot be ignored. As such, it is crucial that we find a balance between utilizing technology to improve our lives and being mindful of its potential negative impacts. For example, we can limit our time spent on devices and prioritize face-to-face communication with others. Furthermore, governments and businesses should work together to create new jobs in industries that cannot be automated, ensuring that no one is left behind as technology continues to advance.

In conclusion, while technology has had a significant impact on society, both positive and negative, it is up to us as individuals and as a society to find a balance and ensure that its effects are positive for all.

As countries continue to industrialize and develop, the use of renewable energy sources is becoming increasingly important. Discuss the reasons for this shift and give your opinion on the future of renewable energy.

    Essay for Band 8

As the world continues to industrialize and modernize, the shift towards renewable energy sources has become increasingly necessary. There are a variety of reasons for this change, including environmental concerns, cost-effectiveness, and energy security.

One of the primary drivers of the shift towards renewable energy is the increasing concern over the environmental impact of traditional sources of energy such as fossil fuels. These sources emit large amounts of greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming and climate change. Renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, and hydro power, emit significantly less carbon and other pollutants, making them a more sustainable option for powering our world.

Additionally, renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly cost-effective. The cost of solar panels, for example, has dropped dramatically in recent years, making them a more accessible and affordable option for both businesses and consumers. As technology continues to advance, it is likely that the cost of renewable energy sources will continue to decrease, making them an increasingly attractive option.

Finally, the shift towards renewable energy sources is also driven by concerns over energy security. Countries that rely heavily on imports of fossil fuels are vulnerable to fluctuations in the global oil market, which can result in price spikes and energy shortages. By developing their own renewable energy sources, countries can reduce their dependence on foreign sources of energy and increase their energy security.

In my opinion, the future of renewable energy is very promising. As technology continues to advance and the cost of renewable energy sources continues to decrease, it is likely that they will become the dominant source of energy in the coming years. Governments and businesses must work together to invest in the development and deployment of renewable energy technologies to ensure a sustainable future for our planet.

In conclusion, the shift towards renewable energy sources is driven by a variety of factors, including environmental concerns, cost-effectiveness, and energy security. As technology continues to advance and the cost of renewable energy continues to decrease, it is likely that renewable energy will play an increasingly important role in powering our world.

As global travel becomes easier and more affordable, the cultural exchange between countries is increasing. However, some people argue that this is leading to a loss of traditional cultures and values. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons and examples to support your answer.

    Essay for Band 8.5

In today’s interconnected world, where travel is becoming easier and more affordable, the exchange of cultural experiences between countries has increased significantly. While this cultural exchange can bring many benefits, some individuals argue that it is leading to a loss of traditional cultures and values. I believe that while this may be true to some extent, the positive effects of cultural exchange far outweigh the negative.

On the one hand, it is true that the increasing cultural exchange between countries can result in a homogenization of cultures, leading to a loss of traditional ways of life and values. For example, as more and more people adopt Western styles of dress and consumerism, traditional clothing and practices may be lost. Additionally, the spread of popular culture through media and entertainment can also lead to a loss of local traditions and customs.

On the other hand, cultural exchange can also bring significant benefits. For instance, exposure to different cultures can broaden our perspectives, increase our understanding of the world, and foster greater tolerance and respect for other cultures. Additionally, cultural exchange can provide new ideas, technologies, and innovations that can improve people’s lives and bring economic growth to communities.

Furthermore, cultural exchange does not necessarily have to result in a loss of tradition and values. Instead, it can create opportunities for cultural fusion and adaptation, where different cultural practices can be combined and modified in new and creative ways. This can result in a dynamic, evolving culture that is rich in diversity and expression.

In conclusion, while cultural exchange can have negative effects, such as a loss of tradition and values, I believe that the positive effects far outweigh the negative. Cultural exchange can provide opportunities for growth, understanding, and cultural fusion, leading to a more vibrant and diverse world.

In many countries, the use of mobile phones and other technology has become an integral part of daily life. Some people believe that this technology has had a positive impact on society, while others believe that it has had a negative impact. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

    Essay for Band 9.0

The widespread use of mobile phones and technology has become a ubiquitous feature of daily life in many countries. While some people argue that this technology has had a positive impact on society, others believe that it has had a negative impact. In this essay, I will explore both views and offer my own opinion on the matter.

On the one hand, the proponents of technology argue that it has had a positive impact on society by making communication faster, easier, and more accessible. For instance, mobile phones have revolutionized the way people communicate, allowing individuals to stay connected with friends and family, no matter where they are in the world. In addition, the rise of social media and online platforms has enabled people to share information and connect with others, building stronger communities and networks.

Moreover, technology has also brought many benefits to the workplace. For example, the use of laptops, tablets, and smartphones has made it possible for people to work from anywhere, allowing for greater flexibility and increased productivity. Additionally, technology has transformed the way businesses operate, enabling them to reach new customers, streamline their operations, and increase their efficiency.

On the other hand, there are those who argue that technology has had a negative impact on society. For example, some people believe that the excessive use of mobile phones and technology has led to a decline in face-to-face communication and social skills. Additionally, there are concerns about the impact of technology on children and young people, including exposure to online bullying and addiction to digital devices.

In my opinion, while there is certainly some truth to both views, the overall impact of technology has been overwhelmingly positive. While it is true that technology can have negative consequences, it is important to remember that it is not the technology itself that is at fault, but rather the way it is used. Therefore, it is up to individuals and society as a whole to use technology in a responsible and mindful way, while reaping its many benefits.

In conclusion, the impact of technology on society is a complex and controversial issue, with valid arguments on both sides. However, I believe that the positive effects of technology, such as increased connectivity, greater efficiency, and improved access to information, far outweigh the negative consequences. By using technology wisely and responsibly, we can create a better future for ourselves and future generations.
